Peter Bingen was born in Los Angeles in 1974 and raised in the American Midwest. A background in Art, Woodworking, Science, and Music led him to the North Bennet Street School in Boston, where he graduated from the Violin Making and Repair Program in 2006. He subsequently worked for renowned maker David Gusset, and restorer Andy Carruthers.
Peter presently works out of his studio in Minneapolis, MN. He makes new instruments, restores instruments for shops across the country, and provides adjustments for professional players.
